Thankful for the Written Words

Another Week, Another Reason to Be Thankful
This week is like a treasure hunt.
I had to look for reasons to be grateful.
I found them in my family, outdoors, my home, my bookcase, and my . . . Iphone! What do you know?

I am still lucky I have many reasons to be thankful. Some people, some nations, some groups are less fortunate. Let us shower them with compassion. May the leaders and future leaders act with just and kindness to all.

(1) I almost did not make it
And miss this week
Thank God it's quick
As I'm tired and weak

(2) But I am glad
My son was transferred
To a facility
Where he'll get treatment

(3) The first pic's my daughter
Before her court
It's good she dressed
With no ripped clothes

Instead, she wore
This one piece outfit
With matching skorts
And tasteful print

I got myself to walk outdoors
Before I got buried with bills and chores

(4) I really should
Get out more often
And free my brain,
Take breaks from problems,
Admire the flowers
Take some bright pictures
Breathe in some fresh air
And watch the nice views

(5) Here is my mom
Wearing a red dress
Behind hers are--
Religious figures

She makes me smile
With her poses for pictures
She looks so happy
With her little adventures

Pretty soon she will
Fly back to the Philippines
Back to her business
Her lying-ins

(6) I got a recipe
From the good old web
That uses coconut
For cookies to bake

(7, 8) Next, are some quotes
I cropped this weekend
Words to live by
My cell phone app sent

(9) Here's a book I have
With tips for people
With narcissist partner
Who is a trouble

I mentioned the book
To a friend who might need it
I hope she gets it
And really use it

(10) Last pictured here
Is my bible app
So handy and useful
I can read in a snap

That's all my folks
I'm thankful I did this
Just writing my gratitude
Lifts up my spirit

Join us for another week of gratitude in Lizzi and the gang's Ttot blog party.
Come on.
You must have reasons to be thankful
