V is for Velvet

dog in panda costume
The time she refused to go and walk outside with me
Velvet does not appreciate fake fur

V is for Velvet
My pet, my beloved
With me she likes to cuddle
In bed and play dead

She sleeps more in winter
When it's darker, not much sun
She sleeps even before
My evening chores are half done

  1. ohhh how adoring this looks.... but i totally can understand why your pet doesn't want to wear it... mine would not like it also

    1. She does not like it but her own but is so short and it's 15 degrees outside.

  2. Am I a panda? Or am I a dog? She looks so cute!

  3. Velvet is too cute, most doggies prefer their own fur.

    1. True. She got out of the sweater within seconds.

  4. Adorable pooch! I used to have a cat named Velvet, so named because she was so soft.

  5. Velvet is a cutie. She has great patience to let you put her in fur. :-)

  6. The dog just wants some respect!

Overdue Gratitude

Hello, hello. I am here after two months. I have been meaning to write my gratitude but did not get myself to sit down and actually type and post it. My daughter turned 21, an adult but still young at heart and spirit. She is my forever baby and youngest and smallest.  We celebrated 2020 style, just me and her in Estes. We stayed in a condo with a nice view. The place was by the stream and the water was not all frozen yet. We could hear the water flowing with its relaxing nature sound. We walked outdoors in with the cold breeze. Surprise, surprise, we were the only ones outdoors. The masks, I must admit, felt good to wear as our breath, at least, bouncing back on our face felt warm. Paul and I celebrated our two-months anniversary in a neighboring state and ordered takes-outs. We hang out (in?) ate, drank, and talked. The drive was beautiful passing by packs of rams unsuspecting of the cars passing by. We finally got our professional wedding (and video) shots. They are all beautiful in
